Gary Hovey is a creative artist and sculptor from a small town of Ohio, America. He creates truly amazing cutlery sculptures using spoons, knives and steel forks.
His favorite subjects are wildlife such as bears, herons, and game fish. In 1978, he was inspired from John Kearney’s sculptures that are made out of chrome car bumpers. Nearly 25 years later, Gary decided to try something similar with spoons. Soon he was developing intricate figures of stainless steel flatware cut, shaped and welded into art. Gary says that his sculptures are about things that he enjoys, “wildlife, welding, and humor.â€
