“Everything is Ending†is a wonderful interactive project of Barcelona artists Javier Jabalera and Mon Castel. This amazing typography project is entirely made out of matchsticks collaboration with ‘3D Neighbors’. Artists build the flammable design because, Javier explains, “We were thinking of the best way to say goodbye to the earth if finally this 2012 is the last year before the apocalypse.” The idea was the most accurate at the time announced the apocalypse, which never took place. Artists claim that long thought of how they say goodbye to the home planet. So the idea “Everything is Ending†came to their minds.
“Both designers Javier Jabalera and Mon Castel inserted matchsticks into evenly spaced holes that they hand-drilled across a large, flat surface. The arrangement of hundreds of matchsticks with dark and light red tips formed a fantastic 3-dimensional map of the world that reached out towards the viewers. Their phrase “Everything is Ending” ran directly through the center and represented the idea that the world might be quickly coming to an end.â€
