Anne-Catherine Becker-Echivard is a French photographer and artist who has created an original Fish photo series, in which she illustrates fish replacing people in their daily routines. She gave a very unconventional view on our everyday lives.
The idea with the introduction of animals into everyday sceneries is not new, but with the heads of dead fish is probably for the first time. All the scenes are put together in Anne-Catherine‘s Berlin apartment. On the creation of a single scene can go from one month to three. The basic idea of the photo artist works is that we have become victims of their own evolution. No identification, even the definition of sex sometimes becomes a problem.
I don’t see whats so funny about pictures with dead fish. Theres a well Known american artist who painted everyday-seens with dogs. poker playing dogs. its just cheap.
not only a cheap thrill. gross is the world i was looking for.
