Imam Helmi Abufarah El Agha, comes from an interesting background: Born and raised in Saudi Arabia (till age 15), he obtained a strong teaching in various Islamic Studies ranging from Quran, Fiqah, to Islamic History.
Imam Helmi Abufarah El Agha, received his TAZKYAH (certificate) from Sh. Dr. Mohammad Nuh Al Qudah in 2013. Furthermore, the Imam is currently enrolled to obtain his BA in Islamic Studies with Dr. Aziz Abdin at the Islamic Open University in California.
Furthermore, Imam Helmi Abufarah El Agha, Founded the “Bridge the Gap” program. In early 2013, the Imam, was able to bring the US Attorney Lee Bentley, City, County, State, Federal Law-Enforcements, Educators (UCF, Valencia, and Stetson University, Osceola School District), Health Care providers (Florida Hospital, ORMC, Osceola), and Various Government Agencies, Private Sectors, and others to a Round-Table Dialogue to discuss current events, affairs, and relationships with the American Muslim Community in central Florida.
Up to October of 2016, SIX Successful meetings were conducted in various locations, and the program is still active and very beneficial to the community at large.
Imam Helmi Abufarah El Agha, in March of 2016 began the 1st Community outreach program, at its Center, which was attended by the FBI, Osceola Sheriff, Kissimmee PD, ST. Cloud PD, Osceola Government and community members at large. A Culture sensitivity training took place, and the program is still active.
