Children's Drawings Transformed Into Masterpieces Using Adobe's Firefly AI

All happy parents will agree: their children are budding artists. Many of them take great pleasure in illustrating everything that comes to mind in a rather unique style. And although we love them with all our hearts, we don’t always want to display them for everyone to see. But those days may well be over!

Remember, a few days ago, we presented the flagship features of the web application accessible to all Firefly, the Adobe generative AI. Much more than a simple image generator, the tool allows you to create images with unrivaled rendering from text queries and to refine the renderings obtained to be as close as possible to your initial idea.

Thanks to this free web tool designed to be fun and intuitive, all creatives in the world, whatever their level, can express all the ideas that come to mind.

It is in this spirit that Adobe France has teamed up with TheWondrous.com to launch an unusual operation: transforming children’s drawings into illustrations worthy of renowned artists.

The idea of this collaboration is to demonstrate the full potential of Adobe’s generative AI by starting with a simple draft of an idea or a sometimes very abstract drawing.

To do this, we collected 10 children’s drawings, some of which came directly from the children of Adobe France employees, with a single objective: to upgrade the drawings. And you will see that it is very simple and quite gripping!

As you can see below, the results are simply amazing! And to amaze your colleagues even more, Adobe Firefly’s multiple features allow you to optimize and refine the rendering.

But how do I transform my children’s drawings with AI? First, go to firefly.adobe.com. In the text entry bar, enter your prompt by precisely describing your child’s drawing, then press Generate.

4 images will appear to be chosen by Firefly. Then go to the left column and locate the composition tab. In this tab, click on “Upload an image” and upload your child’s original drawing. Pull the Force button to the maximum to force the AI to adapt to the structure of the image. Just above, in the “Content-Type” tab, you can choose the art or photo rendering according to your desire. Firefly will thus adapt your prompt to the structure of your child’s drawing. And that’s it!

Below, we have prepared a short video tutorial to guide you and help you easily try out the exercise yourself.
