Hey y’all, 1st of all, as most of u said, I agree that shakira is half Lebanese, half Latin (Google it). Second of all, Dana is Lebanese, from Tripoli, I really don’t understand how do u put such false info. Third of all, we, Lebanese people do not consider ourselves as Arabs, just like one of u said, so all of this list is not correct and it doesn’t make any sense, and they didn’t mention Miss Lebanons. There were many of the girls that won the pageant and they are called Miss Lebanon, it’s an insult that they are not mentioning it. I would like to answer all of the things that i’ve been reading.
First of all Shakira is of Lebanese descent, and Lebanese are ARABS and therefore she can be considered arab if SHE chooses to be but that’s her choice not yours.
Second, Lebanese are arabs and it’s not true that Lebanese people don’t consider themselves arabs. You can’t generalize just because there’s a certain chunk of the population that choose not to consider themselves arabs. Furthermore, arab does not imply muslim. There are arab christians, druze, jews and muslims among other things. Just for your info. I am lebanese and muslim.
Third, this is a response to “Alexander the okay”, arabs are not black or white, they come in all colours and it’s sad to think that people still categorize others according to color. Not to mention the fact that you really have a serious racism issue going there. I can’t believe that people can be so hateful and racist against one another. When are you going to understand that a human being is a human being that has feelings and needs and thoughts regardless of race or gender. My God the world keeps surging ahead scientifically and yet people just remain as hateful and closed-minded as ever.
Fourth, i’d like to add that a big percentage of arab women are naturally beautiful and don’t need to resort to plastic surgery. A lot of ladies on this list did indeed have something done to their faces, and some of them are beautiful regardless, but that doesn’t mean that they represent arab women in any way.
Finally I’d like to thankyou for your understanding and hope that you’ll open your minds up just a little and stop being so hateful and racist. People are beautiful wherever they come from and whatever they look like.

I agree with one thing, which is that there are some Arabs Christians, Druze, Jews and Muslims among other things, but the common understanding about the Arabs, is Muslims. It’s a common fact my dear. and most of those who have never came to Lebanon, like Oprah, think that we are all Muslims, and that we live in the desert, and that we all wear Hijab, if you were interested in this subject, u would’ve noticed what people think of the Lebanese. And you can search about it, that whenever someone (not Arabic) says Arab, he means Muslim.

Regarding the arab vs non arab issue, it’s quite simple
A great portion of the middle eastern population with heavy emphasis on the Levant (Syria, Palestine and Syria) and North Africa, are not genetically arabs, they instead descent from Ancient Egyptians, Canaanites, Phoenicians, Berbers, Hebrews, Europeans etc just to mention a few. They are something we call “arabized” people. Meaning they speak arabic and have adopted arabic culture.
On the other hand, the arab league defines “arab”, as ” a person whose language is Arabic, who lives in an Arabic-speaking country, and who is in sympathy with the aspirations of the Arabic-speaking peoples” meaning formally most of the above are considered arabs, including the lebanese, even though SOME, and not all, are genetically non-arabs.
In sum, Lebanese girl, you are right in some hence, but not as precise as you should be.

Ok a couple of concerns about the list. No.1 Haifa Wehbe is ugly and plastic arabic websites such as Waleg and Akelhawa confirm her age to be 45 or 47.She is in her 40′s!
