On January 12th, the worst earthquake in 200 years – 7.0 in magnitude – struck less than ten miles from the Caribbean city of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Even though the earthquake is more than three weeks old, surviving over there now is a big challenge. People are sleeping on the streets, polluted water, bodies on the streets, even people alive, still trapped in the rubble, especially children are in big trouble they need food, water, clothes and homes to live. Of course massive amounts of aid have arrived from all over the world but, I think its not enough, their needs are too big than they getting. Lets do prayer that may God bless all the victims of Haiti with a particular strength that help them to survive through the difficulties they are facing.

Yes! They need help and prayers. Moreover, they need a good dose of self reliance! It may sound harsh, but”If a man is hungry, give the tools and guidance to fish for him self” This is why Haiti is so poor, its benefactors, good hearted with good intentions have been blinded by their sad state over the years, have never instilled a concept of income tax or insurance,no matter how meager, collectively they can help themselves! Haiti has been a poor free wheeling nation for to long and the other factor is corruption, its not only a way of life, its a national resource.Strong measures must be taken to stop it! Until this is done, there will never be any improvement in Haiti!
