How to Make a Google+ Page for Your Business

Google+, while not quite as heavily used yet as the other big social media players, is definitely in the game to stay and is growing in popularity each and every day. Creating a Google Plus page for your nonprofit or brand can increase the visibility of your organization. If you’re already set up on Google+, you might want to look into adding a Google+ page for your business. It’s simple!
Here are few easy steps to create a Google+ Page for your business.
If you already have a Google account or Gmail account then sign in to your account and head to http://www.google.com/+/business/.

Please note that in order to create a business page on Google+, you first need to create a personal profile. If you don’t have a Google+ Profile yet, the ‘You+’ link on your Gmail dashboard will direct you to the Profile creation page. Once you have a personal profile, you can create your business page.
Now click this link: Google+ For Business.
You will be directed to a page that permits you to create a Google+ Page dedicated to your business, same like a Facebook Fan Page. You now have to select which category your business fits into.

After that you’ll be asked to pick a relevant sub category and add some basic information such as page name and website address. You’ll also be prompted to decide on access levels – either suitable for all eyeballs or restricted to 18+.

After you’ve done this, you can then customize your page’s public profile by choosing a tag line, and add your business logo. Then click the ‘Continue’ button to proceed with the page creation.

In the next step Google offers you the ability to tell your personal Google+ circles about your new business page.

And you’re done! From here you’re good to go with your brand new Google+ business page.
