How to Download Any Attachment in Gmail for Android

Gmail’s attachment handling on Android is not so great. It comes with a bunch of small but nonetheless frustrating limitations. One of the most common problems that many users have experienced in the past and even up to the present is the inability of the Gmail app to support different file formats and downloading attachments.
Despite Gmail’s shortcomings, there is always a workaround, thanks to an application known as Gmail Attachment Download. Developed by Poofinc Studios, Gmail Attachment Download is an easy-to-use app that lets you download any attachment from Gmail and place it anywhere on your device.
However Gmail Attachment Download won’t help you download ZIP or EXE files and other files Gmail blocks, but it will make downloading, say, MP3s a bit easier.
Here’s how you can download MP3, PDF, or even DLL file from an e-mail with the help of Gmail Attachment Download app.

Step 1: First you need to install a copy of Gmail Attachment Download

Step 2: Open an e-mail you need to save a file from and press on the Download button.
Step 3: Here you can choose the Gmail Attachment Download app as the method for opening the file.

Step 4: Select the location you’d like to save the file.

Step 5: Give the file a name, and then click Save File in the bottom left-hand corner.
