I would hardly call # 12 a work of Art. The USA has really fallen behind times.

Perhaps I combine “unigue, unexpected, and /or odd” into the category of MOST BEAUTIFUL buildings of the world. Also one must take into account the resources and technology available at the time of construction which I feel would have rearranged this list completely. So you understand my disagreement with many of the buildings on your list.
One thing is certain, mankind is one marvelously creative species. I wish the usefulness of the designs didn’t need to be such a domineering facet to any buildings’ creation and construction so that the word BOX were never needed in a self-description of a building.
Of course, each and every construction must, MUST, provide proof of its purpose for being–as we all do in this world. Usefulness and proficiency of each site in its underlying purpose and not frivolity or undue expense-just because…I loathe many of America’s skylines as dull and unimaginative, when enjoining a second or third purpose into a building’s reason for existence could make the sights improve throughout the world.
Multi-purposing and not single purposed “egotistic” buildings aimed towards sustainability, I feel, need be at more design meetings which can change the entire character of inner city slums and return pride to communities everywhere.
Beautiful and breath taking! Love art in any form. But, especially when it is beautiful. The France one, number 10, is a little boring to me, but still quite artful.
I have to correct myself on my mistake. I posted that I found the France one, number 10 a little boring looking. It was number 9 — Moli. Sorry France, should of focused on the numbers better.
